The Dorgard enables you to legally and safely hold fire doors open, by allowing the door to close when the fire alarm sounds preventing the spread of fire and smoke. This model features New SmartSound technology, meaning the Dorgard is continuously listening for a fire alarm sound, but is not triggered by vacuum cleaners and other common background noises. The Dorgard is easy to install on the bottom of a door in under 5 minutes using just 4 screws. As the unit is battery powered with a 3 year battery life, there is no wiring required. The unit also feature automatic night-time release and adjustable sensitivity. This unit improves access throughout buildings in line with the Equality Act (2010). It is suitable for fitting onto any door and it is carpet friendly, leaving no marks.
Floor plate kit designed for use with the Fireco Dorgard hold open device. The floorplate helps with the installation of Dorgard with particularly heavy fire doors, or on slippery floor surfaces which might otherwise cause the fire door to slip closed. The kit contains 1 standard plate with 'bump' stop and 1 additional 'anti-hazard' plate, supplied complete with fixings and fitting instructions
The Freedor from Fireco allows fire doors to swing freely and be left in any position but, with sound recognition, it closes the door when detecting a fire alarm, thus adhering to safety regulations and helping to prevent the passage of fire and smoke through a building. Using the Freedor makes life easier; the free swing function makes heavy fire doors less difficult to operate, it is a wire-free product giving it a simple installation process, and it has a conveniently long lasting battery life of 18 - 24 months. The Freedor has been fire tested to 30 & 60 minutes and it meets with the requirements of BS EN 1154, 1155 and EN 1634 as well as being CE marked. It is strength size 4 and features backcheck as well as fully adjustable closing and latching speeds, providing maximum versatility for the end user.
